You can not directly go to the park via air or railways, though you can fly to towns and cities nearby the park and then continue the journey on foot. If you want to make your travel even more memorable, then you should take a flight to the highest airstrip on earth at Syangboche.

The best months to enjoy Sagarmatha are October to February. Pack loads of warm winter clothes for your travel.

The park is best explored on foot. There are many hiking and trekking trails here to be covered and experienced.

Like all national parks, there are a number of interesting flora and fauna species to be discovered at the park. The snow leopard, the blood pheasant, the Himalayan thars, the musk deer, the wild yak and the red panda are just some of the interesting animal species that you may get to see at Sagarmatha. Due to differing altitudes, the flora and fauna differs substantially between different sections of the park.

There are gompas and monasteries too within the park. These make it an important religious site. The interesting cultural practices of the Sherpa tribe, who live in the vicinity, also add to the charm of the park.
